Arbitrum’s Security Council froze 30,766 ETH that a Kelp DAO attacker moved to an Arbitrum One address, according to The Block.

Now, The Block reports that the Arbitrum DAO has started a vote covering whether that frozen ETH should be released to DeFi United.

The action is framed as a follow-up to the earlier incident, with the Security Council’s freeze acting as the control point between the attacker’s funds and any next destination.

DAO voting can move assets, but it is still a governance process with execution risk. Asset owners should treat any transfer tied to onchain decisions as subject to the outcome of the vote and the operational steps that follow, as covered in The Block.
