These terms govern your use of TheChainPost, referred to in this document as the Site. By visiting or using the Site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please close the tab.
1. Who we are
TheChainPost is an independent crypto news publication. General correspondence goes to editor@thechainpost.com. The relevant operator and service addresses for legal, privacy, and DMCA requests are listed on the respective pages of the Site.
2. What you can do
- Read everything on the Site for personal, non-commercial use.
- Link to any article with proper attribution.
- Quote short passages with a link back, subject to fair use or fair dealing in your jurisdiction.
3. What you cannot do
- Republish full articles without written permission.
- Scrape the Site with automated tools beyond what robots.txt allows.
- Misrepresent editorial coverage as endorsement of any product or token.
- Use the name, logo, or look-and-feel of the Site for anything that impersonates the publication.
4. Content accuracy
The newsroom works hard to be accurate, but news moves fast. When we get something wrong, we fix it and note the correction. The procedure is on the corrections page. Nothing on the Site is investment advice. The full scope is in the disclaimers.
5. Third-party links
The Site links to sources, coin pages, exchanges, and tools. Those destinations have their own terms and privacy policies. The publication is not responsible for their content or practices.
6. Reader submissions
If you send a tip, correction, or message, you grant the publication a non-exclusive licence to use and publish that material in coverage. You retain copyright. You will not be identified by name unless you explicitly tell the desk you can be.
7. Warranty disclaimer
The Site is provided on an “as is” basis. All implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, are disclaimed to the maximum extent permitted by law.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Site is capped at EUR 100. The publication is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including trading losses, lost opportunities, or the emotional weight of a chart.
9. Indemnity
You agree to defend and hold the publication harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the Site, including violations of these terms or applicable law.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the publication’s country of registration. Disputes go to the competent courts there. Consumers based in the EU and the UK retain any mandatory consumer protections of their local jurisdiction.
11. Changes
These terms may be updated. Material changes trigger a bumped “Last updated” date, and significant changes are announced with a notice on the front page for seven days.
12. Contact
Write to editor@thechainpost.com with any terms-related question.
