Polymarket is partnering with Chainalysis to monitor its blockchain data in real time, CoinDesk reports.

The pitch is straightforward. Polymarket frames the move as a signal to both users and regulators that it wants “Wall Street-level oversight” over crypto prediction markets, and that it is serious about cutting down insider trading and market manipulation.

Chainalysis involvement centers on monitoring data as events unfold, according to CoinDesk. That real-time angle matters because it targets misconduct when it happens, not after the damage is done.

For users, the practical effect is that Polymarket is leaning harder on external monitoring infrastructure rather than relying purely on internal rules. For regulators, the point is that the platform is aligning itself with oversight expectations.

Polymarket’s asset markets still carry risk, even with added monitoring. Better visibility can reduce certain categories of abuse, but it does not eliminate market volatility or other uncertainty baked into prediction markets.
